![]() I have no other way to describe nodes in Lightworks as they are like that stubborn nephew with who the one has to have quite a lot of talk till the one gets a desired result. The question is, would it be possible to adapt some inspirations from Blender to characteristics of Lightworks nodes. Surprisingly Nodes in Blender are a lot more user friendly and I bet could be a good source of inspiration. Which logically should be there but is a nightmare to deal with. Even if the one needs just a simple swap of effect order, nodes in Lightworks may introduce some headaches, they usually come when pass through node is around. Is it because there is some sort of automation going on in Lightworks nodes or something, I don't know, but I always stress when have to deal with Lightworks nodes. In addition, with other node systems I have never seen such a stubborn character. However, imagine it was an advanced and complicated node tree with a big number of nodes. I understand the reason and purpose of the passthrough node, yet something in the way nodes work in Lightworks makes it unnecessary complicated during very simple tasks.Īnd usually it is better just to redo what the one is doing from scratch. Yes, the explanation above shows the situation very well. Hopefully Node system in Lightworks will get some revisions. And I am not new to nodes, don't have such problems in Blender, Resolve, Fusion, Natron, Houdini and that other now dead app from SGO, mamba FX or smth like that it was called. In Lightworks, on the other hand, nodes tend to be bonkers, they have mind of their own. ![]() That is the beauty of nodes, ultimate flexibility to redo the nodes at any time of your project. With node systems the one should be able to connect, reconnect and redesign the tree of nodes to the will of the user at anytime, any moment in any step of the production. And in my opinion that shouldn't be the case. The bad part of this is that it is quicker to start from scratch. It does connect but nothing works, as if nothing is connected. Wouldn't be a problem if pass through node would connect to the desired node and worked, but for some unknown reason to me it just doesn't work. Lightworks automatically connects the node I need to connect to another node to pass through node, but it really has no reason to do that. I have a very simple task at hand, I need to use one effect instead of another, I have it all set up and just need to connect one of the video track clip with one other effect to that new node instead of another node, but there is this pass through node in a way and it ruins my task. I am wondering if there is any way to get rid of pass through node? Lightworks node system has it's stubborn character that starts to annoy the hell out of me, I wish it was dumb system as it is in most node based editors, where the one can do whatever the one wishes with nodes and they just connect where directed.
